Double Duty #170

Do you or your children have unique names? All of my children, my husband and myself have unique names. Did you always want pencils with your name on it as a child? Or the coveted licence plate for your bike? I DID! I desperately wanted to have something with my name on it. And well to this day I never have had anything with my name on it!

My daughter is just the same as me in that way. For example today when we went to the store she was desperately searching for water bottles with her name on. To make her feel better when she was not successful in her search; I told her that I would make her something with her name on it.

I had not planned on doing it tonight! But when I came across todays challenge double duty I knew it was my chance. I took it and ran with it, and she is going to be so excited in the morning!

  1. How cute! My name is pretty simple, Sally, and believe it or not I have a hard time finding anything with my name on it...now my daughter will by whatever she finds with my name on it to make me feel better!

  2. Oh I definitely know how it goes with never finding anything with your name on it - the males in my family have very common names while us females all have very uncommon names! I think you did a great job on this challenge!! It's beautiful, I bet she'll love it! (And what beautiful names you both have!)

  4. I totally remember being upset by that as a child. My full name is Ellacia. The unusual names are worth it, though!

  5. This is adorable. I love that little Mermaid. I can relate to not finding your name on anything. All of my girls have names that are easily found. Megan, Morgan and Melissa. Funny how it worked out.
